Optional extras when the free open core is not enough for your shop yet: payment wiring, links to tools you already run, or desk depth for your trade. Add-ons are sold separately from the software. They are not a fee to use steakOS itself — the program stays free on steakos.org.

Open extensions vs separate add-ons
- Some extensions stay open and ship with the free project.
- Others may be separate paid works — allowed by the open license (Apache License 2.0).
- Either way, your right to run the core remains.
Because steakOS is designed for decentralized operation (you host it), privacy (your data stays yours), and strong security, add-ons should respect that line: extras plug in; they do not force you onto a rented cloud.
